California prisoner dies after recreational yard attack by two inmates

A prisoner at Salinas Valley State Prison in California was killed after being attacked by two other inmates.

The attack was stopped by a guard using a less-than-lethal device, but the victim died from his injuries. [ more ]

Derek Chauvin, the former officer convicted of killing George Floyd, was seriously injured in a stabbing in prison.

Chauvin was attacked by another inmate in a federal prison in Tucson, Arizona.

This is not the first incident in the prison where Chauvin is serving his sentence. [ more ]
